Bucks County Choral Society

Posted

Please join us on Sunday, April 19 at 4 pm as the Bucks County Choral Society, along with Symphony in C, presents “Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis” at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Doylestown. Though less frequently performed than his symphonies, this is Beethoven’s final and perhaps greatest musical statement, full of both the human and majestic side of this iconic composer. The Choral Society will be joined by the Bucks County Community College Choir and a stellar quartet of soloists to form an ensemble of 120 voices and 31 instrumentalists. You won’t want to miss this incredible concert!  Discounted advance tickets are available now at www.buckschoral.org.

As we prepare for America’s 250th Anniversary, please also mark your calendars for our final concert of the season and first outdoor concert in our 54 year history.  On Saturday, May 30 at 4 pm at the Broad Street Commons Park in Doylestown, this “Community Big Sing” will be unlike any performance you’ve attended.  Grammy © -nominated and internationally acclaimed song leader, Moira Smiley, will lead both choir and community, singing together in an immersive experience celebrating the richness of America and its musical history on our special anniversary.  Come to sing, come to listen, and enjoy this free and inspiring concert!

The Choral Society’s mission is to foster cultural enrichment within the community and to create connection through the shared enjoyment of live choral music. Led by a professional music staff, the Choral Society is recognized as one of the leading symphonic choirs in the greater Philadelphia area.  This 80-voice auditioned choir performs an annual series of four varied programs drawing on an unusually broad range of repertoire in partnership with leading professional orchestras, chamber ensembles, and soloists in our region.
