As Major League Baseball (MLB) brings its signature summer event, the 2026 All-Star Game, to town over the next week, the Pennsylvania Convention Center will be a 500,000-square-foot hub of activity for sports fans flocking into the city for the event.
The Capital One All-Star Village brings four days of events and an impressive build-out to represent both the birthplace of the United States and the incredible history of America’s original contribution to the world of athletics.
Fans will get to explore five unique settings to represent the city of Philadelphia. “The neighborhoods you’ll see upstairs are one being Center City,” Robert Field, senior manager of global events at Major League Baseball, said during a hard-hat media tour of the massive build. “The others being Fishtown, Olde City, Fairmount, and South Philly.
Each city will have its own vibe to it (and) different activities. Olde City is our historical component; Center City is kind of like a town square with an entertainment stage and a diamond. South Philly, where Citizens Bank Park is, is a lot of our play area. I think as you navigate the space, you’ll certainly see that there is something for everyone.”
Old City features various historical components from the top hardball players of all time. Everything from a dugout cutout featuring the Negro Leagues’ Homestead Grays of the mid-1900s to Tug McGraw’s signed, game-worn jersey from the Phillies' 1980 World Championship victory. McGraw's jersey is one of the items in a massive baseball-themed auction from Hunt Auctions this weekend. Visitors will be able to view photos, jerseys, equipment, and much more.
South Philly offers a variety of games and food, of course! There will be MLB-associated sponsors with a play area for kids to let out some excess energy, like jumping into a large inflatable pool filled to the brim with ball pit balls that are sure to go everywhere!
Foodies will be able to enjoy items from BallPark Bites that represent teams around the league, such as the delicious-looking Cookies & Cream Cold Brew, a tasty veggie burrito bowl, a lobster roll-inspired creation representing Boston, and of course, Uncle Charlie’s Cheesesteak on a Lisicio’s seeded roll to honor Philadelphia. These are a few of the 10+ options available to enjoy at the Capital One All-Star Village.

Center City hosts an entertainment stage alongside the World’s Most Autographed Baseball, a 12-foot-diameter spectacle signed by legends of the game, including Ted Williams and Hank Aaron. It was created by Minor League Baseball and features over 6,750 verified signatures, a Guinness World Record for the most on a single piece of sports memorabilia. Fans of baseball trading cards can wander over to a display featuring some highly valuable pieces of cardboard, naturally locked behind glass, in the same general vicinity.
Fairmount features a Minor League Baseball (MiLB) exhibit and a photo opportunity with baseball mascot cutouts. Fans who care to partake in adult beverages will be happy to find a CutWater Cocktails stand alongside a Budweiser vendor in the Fairmount section of the setup. Meanwhile, Fishtown features a video gamer's dream with setups for MLB the Show, eBaseball: Pro Spirits from Japan, and an eight-bay Virtual Reality Home Run Derby simulator that is sure to test visitors' hand-eye coordination as they swing for the (imaginary) fences.
It is quite impressive how MLB transformed the half-billion-square-foot space into a dream destination for fans of the sport. Check out the official Capital One All-Star Village page for a full listing of event details. The event runs from Saturday, July 11, through Tuesday, July 14.
Tickets are $35 for adults, $30 for children (12 and under), $20 for seniors (65 and older) and military members, and $15 for college students. A family four-pack will cost $110, which includes tickets for two adults and two children.
If you’ve been priced out of tickets to events at Citizens Bank Park over the next week, the Capital One All-Star Village is a fantastic opportunity to take in some of the baseball craziness over the next few days.
As someone who had the chance to walk through the 75%-complete workspace, I can say the MLB’s display should be highly entertaining for the baseball lover(s) in your life!
