The Feasterville Rotary Club recognized its January and February Student of the Month recipients during its recent meetings, both held at Erwin’s Country Kitchen.
Shrey Patel was recognized as Student of the Month for January at Feasterville Rotary Club’s January 22 meeting. He lives in Feasterville with his parents, Jigneshkumar and Dhami Patel, and his 18-year-old brother, Yaj Patel. He has attended Neshaminy School District for the past 12 years, and his GPA is 4.51.
His senior courses include AP statistics, AP calculus BC, honors English 12, honors principles of engineering, AP psychology, AP physics, and PE. He is a member of the debate, future problem solvers, and nature and scholar's bowl clubs. Shrey is a member of the National Honor Society, and his name appears on the distinguished honor roll.
Outside of school, Shrey has volunteered 100+ hours at the Library of Lower Southampton, 24 hours at Jefferson Hospital Emergency Department, Princeton Learning Experience as a fourth grade English tutor, Penn GSE as a peer math tutor, and at the Nature Club and Debate Club Homecoming stands. He enjoys coding, video games, and debating.
Shrey will be attending college to major in either computer science or artificial intelligence.
Daniel Mendes was recognized as Student of the Month for February by the Feasterville Rotary Club at its February 12 meeting. He lives in Feasterville with his parents, Lucy and Jose Mendes. He has a 24-year-old sister, IIiana. Daniel has attended Neshaminy School District for the past four years, and his GPA is 4.49.
Daniel’s senior courses include AP psychology, honors architecture, and AP physics. He is a member of the Future Business Leaders of America Club, the National Honors Society, and his name appears on the distinguished honor roll.
Outside of school, Daniel coaches a youth basketball team. He enjoys MMA, golfing, going to the gym, and hanging out with friends. Daniel is a store associate at CVS and a court monitor at a trampoline park.
After graduating from high school, he intends to attend college to major in electrical engineering.
