Cole Knuble made the most of his opportunity with the Philadelphia Flyers during the preseason, putting together two strong performances before being loaned to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
Knuble stood out in both of his preseason appearances, showing his compete level, offensive instincts and willingness to make plays. His performance was also noticed by Flyers head coach Rick Tocchet.
Following Thursday night’s preseason game, Tocchet spoke positively about Knuble’s performance and the impression the young forward made during his time with the Flyers. Knuble was able to put up two goals and an assist throughout the two games.
Despite his strong preseason, Knuble was among four players the Flyers loaned to the Phantoms on Friday as Philadelphia reduced its Training Camp roster to 26 players.
For Knuble, the move to Lehigh Valley is another opportunity to continue developing and build off an impressive two-game preseason. While he won't continue with the Flyers for the remainder of camp, his performance gave the organization a positive glimpse of his potential.
