The adults-only immersive experience brings eight weeks of cocktails, games, singalongs and spooky-season entertainment to Montgomery Mall.

This fall, the Sanderson Sisters are trading Salem for suburban Philadelphia.

Without a Cue Productions and Pops McCann Whiskey are teaming up for the area’s first-ever Hocus Pocus Speakeasy. The seasonal theatrical pop-up will feature eight weeks of “mayhem, mixology and mischief”, with shows set to run in Montgomery County from Sept. 12 through Nov. 8 in a space that the release notes is “already rumored to be haunted by the ghost of teen spirits.”

Beginning at 7 p.m. on Saturdays and 3 p.m. on Sundays, these immersive performances will combine entertainment, games, singalongs and opportunities for plenty of audience participation. Guests will also have access to elaborate decorations, photo opportunities, and a bar serving a selection of witchy-themed “potions.” The shows are for adults only (21+) and anyone is welcome to dress up in theme for the occasion.

"Grab your broomsticks, fluff up your wigs and prepare to get spellbound as Without a Cue Productions flies into Montgomery Mall for the first time for a special eight-week pop-up for spooky season," says Without a Cue Productions' founder and executive director Traci Connaughton.

She adds, "We are so excited to open our first pop-up experience in Montco, and thrilled that it will be the witchy hilarity of the Hocus Pocus Speakeasy, which debuted in Philadelphia last October.  The witches fly again — and we can't wait to see you there."

Without A Cue Productions was founded locally as a woman-owned theater and entertainment company specializing in immersive and interactive experiences.  Over the years, the creative troupe has developed more than 85 original shows, with this latest production just in time for spooky season.

Performance-only tickets (via Eventbrite) are $35 plus tax and box office fees, while a table for eight is available for $240 (plus tax and fees). Guests looking to take their night to the next level can also opt for VIP admission at $75, which includes the performance, early entry, a toast with the witches, a bonus musical number, a photo with the cast, premium seating, a souvenir glass and a flight of three themed cocktails or mocktails.

Throughout the eight-week run, the Hocus Pocus Speakeasy will also host a series of Freaky Friday events, bringing together themed entertainment, games, cabaret, cocktails, costumes and hands-on activities. The lineup includes everything from Mrs. Roper-inspired bingo, broom making, and Hocus Pocus Bingo. A full schedule of events can be found online.
