Posted

The Langhorne Rotary Club recently held their regular meeting at the Irish Rover Station House, featuring a visit from Rotary District 7450 Governor Jan Biros and several notable member recognitions.

District Governor Biros attended the meeting to provide an update on key initiatives and service projects currently underway throughout the district. Her presentation highlighted Rotary’s continued commitment to humanitarian outreach, youth leadership development, and strengthening local communities through active volunteer engagement.

During her visit, Governor Biros presented Joe Santy with a Governor’s Award in recognition of his outstanding service to the Langhorne Rotary Club and to Rotary as a whole. This honor acknowledges Santy’s dedication, leadership, and ongoing contributions to advancing Rotary’s mission of “Service Above Self.”

The meeting also included two additional member honors. Dave Carson and Keith Pacheco were each awarded their Paul Harris Fellow pins, a distinguished recognition named after Rotary’s founder and presented to individuals who demonstrate exceptional commitment to community service and the ideals of Rotary.

During the meeting, Club President Chris Foster highlighted several of the Langhorne Rotary Club’s accomplishments over the past year. The club donated more than $17,500 to support a wide range of community needs, including local nonprofits, youth scholarships, and families facing hardship. Members continued their long-standing participation in the Adopt-A-Highway program, helping to maintain cleaner roadways throughout the area. Foster also noted the success of the club’s Annual Pet Fair & Family Fun Day, a free event for the community that promotes responsible pet ownership while bringing families together. Additional outreach activities—including food distribution support, service partnerships, and hands-on volunteer initiatives—demonstrated the club’s ongoing commitment to improving the quality of life for residents across Bucks County.

The Langhorne Rotary Club extends a warm invitation to residents interested in community service, leadership development, and philanthropy. The club meets regularly and welcomes prospective members to attend an upcoming meeting.

The Langhorne Rotary Club  chartered in 1961, is part of Rotary District 7450 and continues to support a variety of service projects, including scholarships for local students, food drives, environmental cleanups, and international humanitarian efforts.

New members are always welcome. The club meets regularly at Irish Rover Station House (1033 S Bellevue Ave. in Langhorne) on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month at 12 pm.
