2025 was another full and exciting year at Lower South Parks and Recreation! Our community event schedule expanded as we offered more ways for residents to gather and enjoy all that Lower South has to offer. With our added summer recreation options, we served more families and offered a greater variety of recreation activities to choose from.
The Sarah Mitchell Community Center was busy almost every night of the week, offering a variety of programs from ballet and tumbling to art classes and two drama programs. When the center wasn’t busy with recreation programs, it served as a meeting space for township community boards and educational seminars.
Another exciting project that was recently completed is the revitalization of the courts at Dolphin Park. Six brand new pickleball courts, four tennis courts, and two basketball courts will be ready for a grand opening in the Spring of 2026. Combined with our fabulous baseball field and the soccer field, these new courts bring us one step closer to making Dolphin Park a premier destination in Lower Bucks County. We are hoping to have big news to share in early 2026 concerning future plans for Dolphin - so stay tuned.
We don’t want to forget the exciting things we have left in 2025. Our Christmas on the Farm event will be held on Saturday, December 13 from 12 pm –4 pm at Playwicki Farm. Join us for food trucks, vendors, free pictures with Santa (who will arrive in style thanks to the Lower Southampton Fire Department), and so much more.
Residents can also visit our website to register for the annual Christmas House Decorating Contest. Vote for your favorite house by emailing contests@lstwp.org.
