Report: Sixers to host six draft prospects, including Chris Cenac, Dailyn Swain and Koa Peat

Philadelphia is continuing its pre-draft evaluation process with a workout group featuring several prospects projected to be selected near the No. 22 pick.

The Philadelphia 76ers have begun hosting prospects for pre-draft workouts as they continue preparations for the 2026 NBA Draft. Among those players are Chris Cenac, Koa Peat, Dailyn Swain, Allen Graves, Isaiah Evans and Zuby Ejiofor, according to NBA Insider Jake Fischer.

According to Fischer, the team expects to have completed these in-person workouts by week's end, giving the team a fair pool of prospects expected to be available at or around their 22nd pick in the upcoming draft. The Sixers are not guaranteed to draft a player on this list, but this group of prospects does suggest that the Sixers are doing their due diligence on frontcourt players and wings.

Among the most notable names are Cenac and Swain. Cenac fills an obvious need for the Sixers thanks to his size and rebounding ability, while Swain is among the few intriguing wings in Philadelphia’s potential range. Both have been frequently connected to the Sixers over recent weeks, and have often been speculated to fall in the range of picks 15-25. It’s a wide range, but not without reason, as Cenac’s raw ability has often been cited as a concern, as have questions about Swain’s long-term projection as a shooter and defender. The cases of Cenac and Swain are so polarizing because of the importance of their particular swing skills. The workouts should give Philadelphia a better understanding of both prospects' long-term projections.

Another notable name frequently connected to the team is Peat, who is represented by Klutch Sports. Several Sixers are also represented by Klutch, including Tyrese Maxey, Justin Edwards, Jabari Walker and head coach Nick Nurse. That connection has led some to believe Klutch may be working to convince Philadelphia to draft Peat, but whether that is true or not is inconsequential. It’s the job of player agents to leverage what they can to secure the optimal situation for their client in draft position, contract negotiations and beyond. Peat has slipped in his projected range in recent months to the point that being drafted in the top 22 should be considered a success by his camp.

Zuby Ejiofor was the first player to reportedly have an in-person workout with the team, according to David Berov, an independent journalist covering St. John's, where Ejiofor played last season. Ejiofor has largely been considered a second-round prospect during the early draft process, but has since begun to rise up draft boards after an impressive appearance at the NBA’s Draft combine and in recent workouts. Ejiofor, 22, is a bit more experienced than the other prospects the Sixers will host. Some evaluators believe that experience may limit his long-term upside, but it also provides a clearer picture of the player he is today.

Allen Graves and Isaiah Evans round out the list for Philadelphia. Both are more likely to be limited to role players at their peak, due to a combination of questionable athleticism and room to grow, but they also provide particular skills the Sixers sorely need. Graves was an analytical darling in his lone season at Santa Clara. While he largely played out of position as a center off the bench, he largely held his own and displayed some impressive awareness and defensive versatility and could develop into a quality power forward for the Sixers. Evans’ skillset revolves more around his shot-taking and making ability. While his on-ball and defensive skills leave much to be desired, it’s likely the Sixers could rely on him as an off-ball shooter even as a rookie.

The Sixers will have a number of decisions to make as they explore all potential options, including trading up, down or out entirely. The current expectation is for the Sixers to make a selection in this draft, but whether that will be at No. 22 or elsewhere remains to be seen. Either way, these prospect workouts should add some clarity to their potential decision come draft day.
