Ahead of the 2026-27 NBA season, the Philadelphia 76ers have announced the return of one of their most popular jersey iterations in franchise history, the Iverson-era black "Classic" jersey.

The Sixers brought back the uniform last season to honor the 25th anniversary of the team's 2001 NBA Finals run. After much speculation over the offseason, the team officially announced ahead of Media Day that the jerseys will return for another season.

The initial expectation was that the throwback jerseys would not return, as Nike, the NBA's exclusive on-court uniform and apparel provider, restricts how long teams can keep classic designs in their rotation. Despite that expectation, the Iverson-era look will be back for 2026-27.

Sixers fans can now prepare to watch new additions LeBron James and Jaylen Brown take the court in the Iverson-era Classics, something fans had clamored for throughout the offseason.

In addition to the throwback return, the Sixers announced Bloom Energy as their new jersey patch partner, part of a multiyear strategic partnership that includes a planned seven-figure community reinvestment, according to the team.

“At the core, our brands are about making communities stronger,” said Sixers and HBSE CEO Tad Brown. “Ahead of a highly anticipated season, we are proud to welcome Bloom Energy, a powerhouse in the region. We look forward to building a partnership grounded in shared values, community resilience and a commitment to making a meaningful impact in the Greater Philadelphia area.”
