Trevose Horticultural Society’s upcoming meeting

Posted

"Honey, I Shrunk the Lawn: Ecological Stewardship of Residential Properties” will be the featured topic of the Trevose Horticultural Society monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 21 at 7 pm at the Bensalem Senior Center, 1850 Byberry Rd. in Bensalem.

During Covid, Chester County Master Gardener, Sharon Richardson, created a follow-up to her presentation entitled “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner: A Year-round Buffet for our Pollinators.”  This presentation goes beyond feeding our pollinators and delves into ecological gardening principles that will benefit our wildlife and protect our environment.

Richardson is a longstanding member of the Uwchlan Garden Club and has served in numerous positions in her club, District 1, and on the GCFP Board.  She is a PA Master Gardener and Longwood Gardens volunteer docent. She’s active in the Greater Philadelphia Dahlia Society, the Philadelphia Unit of the Herb Society, and she volunteers annually at the PHS Flower Show. She recently became an NGC Accredited Flower Show Judge and earned the 4 Star Award from NGC.

All meetings are open to the public; all are welcome, $5 to observe.  For further information, please contact 856-866-9163, visit www.trevosegardeners.org or Facebook.
