Posted

The World Cup is coming to Philadelphia, and the entire city is preparing to celebrate! If you're looking for spots to watch the matches and take in all the action this Summer, PSN has you covered with all the best options available, whether that be World Cup watch parties, pop-up events, or the best bars in town to sit down, grab a pint and a bite to eat, and enjoy the world's game on the biggest stage while patroning the places that make Philadelphia one of the best cities in the world.

PSN's Best Places To Watch Matches

Plenty of bars that rarely show soccer are going to be flipping the channel to the World Cup this summer in hopes of drawing big crowds and the unforgettable energy that comes with it, but for the ones that live and breathe the beautiful game on a daily basis, check out Philly Sports Network's best recommendations when it comes to bars to watch World Cup matches.

A full list of bars and restaurants showing World Cup matches will be at the bottom of this article and will be updated throughout the tournament, so be sure to bookmark this page to help you navigate where to watch the entire 2026 World Cup.

Black Sheep

First, we want to send our well wishes to the Black Sheep Pub, a staple of the Philadelphia soccer community and one of the best bars in town.  The Black Sheep sadly experienced a fire inside their building on May 18th, which will unfortunately keep them out of contention for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. PSN is glad to hear everyone is OK, and we hope to see The Black Sheep up and running sooner than later.

If anyone feels like chipping in to help The Black Sheep cover the costs of rebuilding their space, The Black Sheep has a GoFundMe page, with donations already reaching $50,000.

Black Taxi

Black Taxi is an Irish Pub in the Fairmount neighborhood of Philadelphia, relatively close to the Rocky Steps and the FIFA Fan Fest at Lemon Hill.  One might consider hitting Black Taxi for a pint and a bite to eat for one of the early afternoon matches, before heading over to the FRE Fan Fest at night to catch one of the concert series performers and one of the late-night matches.

745-747 N 25th St., theblacktaxi.com

Brauhaus Schmitz

Located on Philadelphia's historic South Street, Brauhaus Schmitz is one of the city's best German food and beer halls and places to watch soccer. Brauhaus will have designated watch parties for select games this Summer, which in the past have included shutting down South Street and turning the block between 7th and 8th into one of the best places to watch matches.

Cavanaugh’s Headhouse & Rittenhouse

Located in the Society Hill neighborhood and just off South Street over by the Delaware is Cavanaugh’s Headhouse, the official Liverpool bar of Philadelphia. But over near Rittenhouse Square, Cavanaugh’s has another spot more geared towards a “Sports Bar” feel.  Both will likely be showing plenty of Matches during the World Cup.

Fado Irish Pub

Fado is an Irish Pub that sits on Locust Street, right off Broad, just steps away from the train. Showing every World Cup match and offering cold pints and Irish bites, Fado is a great spot to grab some friends and catch some World Cup action this Summer.

FIFA Fan Fest @ Lemon Hill

FIFA Fan Fest at Lemon Hill will start on June 11th and will run every day for 39 consecutive days until the end of the tournament.  The event is FREE with online registration for each day, and the Fest will feature a vendor village, 75+ local food trucks, massive screens for all the matches, and an unforgettable atmosphere that organizers say will make FIFA Fan Fest feel like soccer Coachella. Fan Fest kicks off on June 11th with a concert featuring Grammy Award-winning artist, Luis Fonsi.  The link to register for FIFA Fan Fest is below.

Lion Sports Bar

Lion Sports Bar is one of the new kids on the block, but they’ve really become one of the best places to watch footy in the entire city of Philadelphia.  On Arch Street and just a few blocks from Reading Terminal, Lion Sports Bar shows soccer from all your favorite leagues all year round, and always has amazing specials to go with it.  Definitely one of the better spots to watch matches with other soccer fans and a high-energy atmosphere.

Stateside Live!

Stateside Live! recently underwent a major renovation, and it's ready to host World Cup watch parties every day there's a game, right across the street down in South Philly. Fans do NOT need a match ticket to enter Statside Live! on match days, but tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The expanded outdoor plaza will be open with food trucks and matches on a large outdoor screen.

Tir na nOg

Located on Arch Street, Tir na nOg is Philadelphia’s most authentic Irish Pub, and is a great place to catch some of the beautiful game.  It’s just steps away from Love Park and City Hall, making Tir na nOg a great pit-stop during your World Cup outing, or a place to post up for an entire day's worth of matches.

Top Tomato Bar

Top Tomato Bar is Philadelphia’s official home of the American Outlaws, the supporters group of the US Men's National team.
